Renal mRNA expression of (A) endothelial-converting enzyme (ECE), (B) ET-1, the ET receptors, (C) ET_A receptor (ET_A R) and (D) ET_B receptor (ET_B R), and (E) Western blot of ET_A R and ET_B R and (F–G) their quantification relative to β-actin, respectively, following treatment with vehicle, sunitinib (14 mg/kg/day; SU) alone or during co-treatment with low-dose aspirin (COX-1 inhibition, 5 mg/kg/day; SU+low-dose A) or high-dose aspirin (dual COX-1 and COX-2 inhibition, 100 mg/kg/day; SU+high-dose A). Renal mRNA expression is normalised to the internal housekeeping gene, Hprt1, and is expressed relative to the vehicle-treated group. Data are presented as mean ± SEM (n=5–7/group).
